The City Of

Originally a sawmill in the 1800’s the area quickly became a booming oil town in the 1930s. Due to its 40 minute commute via i-45 from Houston, Conroe now acts as a suburb that people often live in while they work. The city’s average home price is $250,000.00 USD making it a great place to purchase your first home or start a family without the hustle and bustle of true city life. The 2010 census stated that there were  56,207 people living here. At that time the city was the 6th fastest growing city in the United States. Geographically Conroe sits on the southwest corner of the East Texas Piney Woods making the weather cool to cold in the winter and hot in the summer with about 94 inches of rain a year.
